I am a little horrified and distressed to find that Photographers retain the copyright over the images they take. Meaning, rather pay someone to take photos, the photographer leads ownership of the goods; and I have to pay him / her more if and whenever you want copies.

So the question comes in two parts. First find a photographer who is a professional, but also allows the customer to retain copyright.

Second, send the question as to when this practice was accepted. I mean, if you hire someone to carve out a chair for me, I have him pay every time you sit on it.

It seems that many of the answers I've seen here explaining that the photographer has to make a living and make extra money by forcing customers to pay excessive fees for prints. But how is this excuse? It is one reason, but this does not give them the right to do so. http://www.lando.gr/
